About Meetings: Agendas & Minutes

The City creates an agenda for each public meeting that includes items to be discussed or presented. This agenda is posted in advance of the meeting at the post office, at city hall, and on this website. The public is encouraged to attend these meetings and participate in the discussions.

Adding Items to Upcoming Agendas

Items to be placed on the meeting agenda and considered by the Common Council must be submitted to City Hall by noon the Wednesday prior to the Monday meeting. All submitted requests are considered “Action” or “Report” items.

Action Items
Requests that require an official action (vote) by the Common Council.
Report Items
For informational purposes and discussion without a vote of the Common Council being taken.

Minutes

Following each meeting, minutes, or a meeting record, are created to reflect the discussion and action taken during the meeting. These minutes are then presented at the next scheduled meeting for review, modification and adoption. Once approved, this document becomes the official record for the previous meeting. Official minutes are then placed on this website for public information purposes. The listing of prior minutes can be utilized as a great tool for the public in researching history or getting up to speed on the topics of today.
