In October of 2021, the city of Hill City adopted an ordinance requiring all businesses operating within the municipal city limits, to register with the city.
Registration is now open and all businesses requiring a state tax identification number, are required to fill out the registration form and return it to city hall. This also applies to non-profit organizations. Per City Council, the $25.00 registration fee is waived for the year 2022.
Once your business registration information is submitted, the city will issue a business registration document to post at your place of business. Any updates to the information provided on the form must be communicated to city hall as soon as possible after the change. If your submitted information does not require any updating at the beginning of each year, please email city hall at firstname.lastname@example.org stating your business name and that no changes to the registration information is needed.
