Welcome to Custer's Gulch RV Park where wildlife, such as deer and elk roam around the grounds just as they did 125 years ago when General Custer camped in this very same spot while on his expedition to the Black Hills. Custer's Gulch, one of the newest RV parks located in the Black Hills, has over 60 full service sites. A quiet, peaceful campground in the valley, Pull-through sites, 50 amp service, lovely views & lots of trees. Located near the west entrance to Custer State Park and less than 3 miles from Custer City, this allows easy access to all the most popular tourist attractions.
Trailside Park Resort
Black Hills Trailside Park Resort is a "First Class Destination," located within city limits of beautiful Hill City. Our resort has full hook-up, 50amp RV sites, tent sites on Spring Creek, CLEAN showers, and 9 NEW vacation cabins, which sleep 4-5 people. The Mickelson Trail Luxury Suite is an apartment which sleeps 8, with full kitchen and separate bedroom. LINENS are provided. Within walking distance of downtown via the Mickelson Trail, this is an ideal place to stay. Mickelson Trail Adventures Bicycle rental and shuttle is located on the property.

The Rafter J Bar Ranch comprises five camping areas separated by Alpine meadows and shaded by large ponderosa pines. Choose a remote site, or camp close to the resort's activity center. We offer electric, water and sewer sites along with many tent sites. Some sites have satellite TV hookups. Enjoy a crackling fire and quiet hours that begin at 10:00 P.M. There's also full-time camp security. Enjoy our swimming complex which features the addition of a hot tub. We are located adjacent to the George Mickelson Hiking & Biking Trail. Our resort is also surrounded by National Forest with endless opportunities to hike and bike. The Rafter J Bar Ranch is the perfect headquarters for Black Hills sightseeing, minutes away from Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State park and the 1880 Train.

Custer State Park in the Black Hills encompasses 71,000 acres of spectacular terrain and an abundance of wildlife. Within the park, you'll discover a world of adventure!
The newly constructed Custer State Park Visitor Center is open to the public 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. MDT.
A herd of 1,300 bison roams freely throughout the park, often stopping traffic along the 18-mile Wildlife Loop Road. The herd is one of the largest publically-owned herds in the world.
Custer State Park boasts several scenic drives that explore the diversity of the area. From the granite spires of Needles Highway to the bison along WIldlife Loop Road.
The park includes lodges at Sylvan Lake, Legion Lake, Blue Bell and the State Game Lodge. Each resort has its own flavor, ranging from the stately Game Lodge, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, to the mini dude ranch at Blue Bell.
