The newly constructed Custer State Park Visitor Center is open to the public 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. MDT.

A herd of 1,300 bison roams freely throughout the park, often stopping traffic along the 18-mile Wildlife Loop Road. The herd is one of the largest publically-owned herds in the world.

Custer State Park boasts several scenic drives that explore the diversity of the area. From the granite spires of Needles Highway to the bison along WIldlife Loop Road.

The Rafter J Bar Ranch comprises five camping areas separated by Alpine meadows and shaded by large ponderosa pines. Choose a remote site, or camp close to the resort's activity center. We offer electric, water and sewer sites along with many tent sites. Some sites have satellite TV hookups. Enjoy a crackling fire and quiet hours that begin at 10:00 P.M. There's also full-time camp security. Enjoy our swimming complex which features the addition of a hot tub. We are located adjacent to the George Mickelson Hiking & Biking Trail. The Holly House is located 2 miles North of Hill City - centrally located to all attractions in the Black Hills. Within minutes of Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse Memorial. We've been in business for 9 years and loving it.

This lovely all stone exterior vacation home is fully furnished and well supplied with all the things needed for a great stay.  It is tastefully decorated with several stone and nature features inside which will appeal to both make and female in the group.  It has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.  With a total of 6 beds it can accommodate 10-12 people with plenty of room for all.  This home has 2 bedrooms, bath, kitchen, dining area, living room and laundry room on each of the 2 floors.

There is a patio and 2 decks with picnic tables, chairs and gas grill for outdoor cooking or just to enjoy a rest after a full day of site seeing.  The back of the house has a low to the ground deck to the main floor for anyone who has a problem with climbing stairs.
