Bavarian Inn, Black Hills
Located just north of Custer, the Bavarian Inn offers its guests a breathtaking pastoral setting. Restmore Inn is a small cozy Inn with cute newly remodeled wildlife themed cabins and one historic 100+ year stagecoach stop. Very convenient to all major attractions! We are situated among pines trees, adjoining the U.S. forest land and located 2 miles South of Hill City. All units are non-smoking and cabins with complete kitchens, fire pits, gas grill barbecues. Rafter J Bar Ranch & Campground
The Rafter J Bar Ranch comprises five camping areas separated by Alpine meadows and shaded by large ponderosa pines. Choose a remote site, or camp close to the resort's activity center. We offer electric, water and sewer sites along with many tent sites. Some sites have satellite TV hookups. Enjoy a crackling fire and quiet hours that begin at 10:00 P.M. There's also full-time camp security. Enjoy our swimming complex which features the addition of a hot tub. We are located adjacent to the George Mickelson Hiking & Biking Trail. Our resort is also surrounded by National Forest with endless opportunities to hike and bike. The Rafter J Bar Ranch is the perfect headquarters for Black Hills sightseeing, minutes away from Mt. We have 4 themed rooms and a nightly Christmas cabin rental out back by the stream - Our rooms are the Bridal Suite - Wildlife/Indian - Victorian - USA - all rooms have jetted tubs - tv's - fridges - WIFI - some have separate entrances and Spring Creek runs along our property so great for fishing - sitting out on the benches by the creek or taking a walk in the mountains or sitting on the large deck enjoying the wildlife. Newton Fork Ranch
We offer six intimate real log cabins and two historic ranch houses for nightly or weekly rental year-round. Our log cabins circle a picturesque meadow and are placed well back from the road. Newton Fork Ranch will become your “home away from home;” your peaceful oasis from a world filled with time constraints and non-stop activity. Our fully furnished and well-equipped log cabins, only a half mile from Main Street, will afford you a welcome respite from a hectic life. An afternoon sitting on the deck watching wildlife or an evening spent by a warm fire will transport you to a far simpler and more tranquil time.
Each log cabin features a full kitchen with range, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, cookware, dinnerware and utensils. Each also has a gas fireplace, gas barbeque, an old-fashioned clawfoot bathtub or rock-surround showers, towels, bedding, and a porch with breathtaking views. Five have lofts and comfortably sleep up to four people. Our sixth, which has a view of Black Elk Peak (formerly Harney Peak), is a two-bedroom and can sleep up to eight.
Our historic two-bedroom Grandma's Ranch House has a wood-burning fireplace, was built in 1914, and sleeps up to six. The famed Original Badger Clark cabin is "off-the-grid," sleeps two, is heated by a pot-bellied stove, and is for adventurous guests interested in South Dakota's first Poet Laureate and in turning back the clock to a by-gone era. All of our cabins are placed a short distance apart to afford peace and tranquility.
We have a private access gate that opens directly onto the Mickelson trail.
PETS: Newton Fork Ranch welcomes guests traveling with their well-behaved pets. GUESTS TRAVELING WITH HORSES: we have two heavy-duty 12' x 12' paneled corrals available for a small rental fee. Located in a lovely aspen grove, there is also room for guests to erect their own electric fencing if preferred. Call for details.
