We use a rich mixture of geology, paleontology, history, poetry & folklore to take you to places that few experience. Our specialty is intimate, intelligent and unique tour experiences. GeoFunTrek offers a refreshing alternative to the established trails. Our day-long touring experiences are unique, intimate and intelligent. Each is uniquely organized around a theme such as paleontology (dinosaurs and fossils), geology (natural history and wonders), technology (mining history and other applications) and the mystique and splendor of the Badlands. Our vehicle of choice is a European-designed, ten-passenger Dodge Sprinter Van. It is large enough to offer spacious and comfortable seating and large windows for viewing the scenery, yet small enough to ensure the personal attention and intimacy you desire. Combining art and science into an entertaining and intelligent tale, we offer the insights and not just the sights that discerning visitors yearn to embrace.

Our Basic Tour
Every visitor will enjoy this basic personalized, narrated and affordable tour. We will pick you up at your Custer, Custer State Park, Keystone & Hill City area location, visit Sylvan Lake, travel the Needles Highway through tight-fitting tunnels, proceed through Custer State Park and seek wildlife.

Then it is up Iron Mountain Road, circling the perilous pigtail bridges on our way to Mt. Rushmore. We conclude the basic tour after appropriate time at 'ever-changing' Crazy Horse Mountain.

RABBIT BICYCLE

Eddie & Joey Bonds have had the pleasure of enjoying all of the ultimate biking in the Black Hills of South Dakota since 2005 when they opened Rabbit Bicycle in Hill City in 2005.  Services at Rabbit Bike include bicycle rentals, sales and repair.  The shop is complete with apparel, helmets, tires, tubes, seats, pumps, seat bags, hydration packs and almost anything else you may need for your cycling experience.  We also carry energy bars and fluids to sustain your day on the trail.  You can purchase your Mickelson Trail pass for the day or year here as well.  Our higher end rental fleet averages 40-50 so we can fit you on the right bike.  A new fleet is purchased each year and we sell used bikes throughout the season as well.  Black Hills Shuttle is also located at the bike shop.  The shuttle service can take you up or down the trail so you don’t have to do an “out and back” so you can enjoy a longer portion of the trail for your ride.  Please check out our website, www.rabbitbike.com, for current pricing for bike rentals and shuttles and the opportunity to save some money by allowing us to design a custom bicycling package for your party.  Larger discounts are applied to anyone renting our “Barn” for lodging during their stay in the hills.  Hope to see you soon!
